The JIPSD needs to work with the Town of James Island and
the City of Charleston. The PSD
Commission needs to be ethical and transparent.
It is past time for the PSD to join with other
Island governments to work together as partners.
As a Commissioner with the Charleston County Soil and Water
Conservation District we have partnered with many public and private
organizations on conservation projects. We most recently completed two EPA
Watershed Grants , one near the Bulls
Bay area and the other near Hollywood. We worked with private land owners, the Towns
of Awendaw, McClellanville and Hollywood, along with DHEC, EPA and Charleston
County staff. We helped over 100 low
income families install new septic systems and cleaned up Bulls Bay and Swinton
Creek. When folks work together good
things happen.
